What are some ways to craft your audience persona?
  • Actions: What specific actions do we want them to take? Whether it's creating videos, writing blog posts, or engaging on social media, defining this helps tailor our approach.
  • Motivations: What drives them? Is it the creative process, potential rewards, or the chance to connect with like-minded individuals? Knowing this can help us attract them with compelling incentives.
  • Fears: What are their concerns? For content creators, it might be the fear of low engagement or criticism. Recognizing these fears allows us to provide support and build confidence.
  • Rewards: What do they value as rewards? This could range from tangible items like swag to intangible ones like public recognition. Understanding this helps us design appealing reward systems.
  • Information Sources: Where do they typically get their information? Identifying the right channels, from specific websites to social media platforms, ensures our messages reach them effectively.

Creating a customer avatar is very important for any business. Even if your business is just a forum and your customers are just members.

You're earning something, too. Be it money, community growth, something.

Aside from the points above, I'd also look at social media behaviors, posting behaviors, buying behaviors.

I would also look at demographics, like age, gender, location, languages, and ethnicity. These metrics can still tell a story and help you better identify exactly who you're creating for.

The biggest needs and wants are important to research. If you can address those with your community, you can build and master your tradecraft of developing loyal organic ambassadors.

It's good to get one-on-one with members. If they join, start a DM and keep it going. Get to know them.
 
This is why I value the use of surveys so much when it comes to getting to know about about my audience. No one is going to tell you more about things with respect to your audience than themselves. It's why overlooking the use of surveys is going to critical to the kind of information you will have about your audience.

Sourcing information from the right sources is very important in order to be seen as an authority in a particular niche. If the place that you are sourcing information from has some fake information and incorrect details, you will end up creating doubts in the minds of your audience.

Putting out fake information out there is only going to make your audience to criticize whatever thing you are doing and this is going to bring about bad reputation about your projects. It is why whenever it comes to publishing content, we should try as much as possible to back up whatever your publishing with facts so that whenever your audience are bringing in their criticism, it is going to be something that is constructive.
