Does anyone know how some people have dynamic signatures that say things like:

"I have posted ... times at Forum.com. Join me today." ?

Yeah I like those who show the forum stats etc, I also like a nice banner like yours :D

I think the way most people do this is to use GD to generate the images, and simply host a script on their server that grabs the stats from the database. I'd imagine it would be a relatively simple script. If you want me to have a go at making one, tell me which forum software and I'll do it (and subsequently post a tutorial on how to do it yourself). :)

Yes. I have done it before. I may end up making one for WebGuruBB and our users to paste around on the internet. If you know some php it is not hard to do. I will get more into detail once I am finished with this contest thing :p

Thanks Android. I'd like to have a go myself at some point but not so much that I wouldn't accept help. I'm pretty sure I can fetch the data from database and cache it in order to stop high server load, the difficult part Is the image manipulation and actually having a basic banner. Thanks for pointing me to that image manipulation library. I don't have a forum set up yet but it will be Xenforo and not for a month. :)
