I was playing the new COD for a while. Have not touched it in 2 months I think.
I was on COD daily til I switched to Hogwarts Legacy for a week, then I switched over to Destiny 2 because the new DLC came out. I'm kinda feeling some more COD soon now though. I cycle through them! :p That's cool you play COD as well though - totally could add me if ya want!

My discord is fords8#3599 I think. Have not been on that in a while either. haha

I used to sit on my computer at my desk in my room (my room is at the front of the house), but I had to move to the kitchen bar because our dogs would always go into my room and bark every time they heard a car go by or people outside talking when my overnight worker brother was trying to sleep.

I find it really weird, I haven't had the urge to build a PC from parts in *years*. I actually think I'd hate the process now. When I was younger, and build from parts was my only real option, I was more than happy to tinker, but somewhere along the way I stopped caring about tinkering and more about 'just work, dammit'

Priorities change as we get older. That's for sure. It's just always been something on my wish list. My laptop is from 2016 and it's still very fast and good for the things I do on it. So I haven't had the need to replace it yet. I'm hoping I can mark a 10 year ownership before I have to change it. Still looks brand new too.

I owned a computer shop for over 20 years. Once I got out of it full time, I didn't build anything for a while. Now I just build the higher priced rigs. People want 500.00 units, they can run to Walmart or Best Buy. It is back to being a hobbie now. I still like doing it. :)

i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz,
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super
32gb DDR4 RAM
Windows 10
Gigabyte Aorus Gen4 7000s 2tb NVME SSD
Samsung 860 Evo 2TB SSD x2

Built my PC about 2-3 years ago now. May look into buying a 4080 a bit further down the line. But it does the job, I barely ever get the chance to get on my computer. Adulting sucks.

They are becoming cheaper so wouldn’t hurt to look into! But I understand adulting does suck lol

I'm not going to go into all of them ( as I glance to the left at 2 Dell servers, 5 laptops, 2 Surface pro's, 2 Surface Books, 5 desktops) as they are used for different things (astro image processing, RDP access, VNC access, VM creation).
The prime computer that I use for most stuff remains a stock (all original parts other than the fan) mid-2012 Mac Mini i7/16GB/1TB. After 11 years, it's needing a new keyboard (sticky keys) and move from the trackpad to an actual trackball/mouse for more accurate cursor movement when doing image editing.
Next "upgrade" will probably be a Mac Studio (M1 Ultra 128GB RAM/8TB storage). I simply like how my iPhone works so well with the Mac (being able to text message directly from the Mac is nice). Most of my prime software packages are also now offering native Mac versions.

Built this one a few years ago at this point. Still does everything that I need it to do.
