As forums we are one small drop in a very large forum world. Have you considered collaborating with other forums and possibly having cross-over type events, or somehow working together to band together and have an event? What genres would do best with this concept in your opinion? Gaming forums, Admin/Webmaster Forums, Roleplay... So many ideas come to my mind!

Collaboration among communities is something that should always be encouraged because this is one of the best ways that forums can help each other grow and meet up with whatever competition that they are facing from the hands of social media platform. Forums are the only ones that can help themselves grow because social media doesn't really help forums today.

The only collaboration I have done with other forums is post exchange. I join forums and make posts so that the owner of that forum can join mine and make equal number of posts. Apart from post exchange, I have not made any kind of collaboration. However, I am planning to collaborate in the future.

Post exchange with other communities is one of the best ways that you can be able to add contents to your community from different community owners without even having to pay money for content creation in your forum. I see this as a good way in which community owners support each other by helping to improve on the content addition to each of their forums.
