I agree with you. There is more to a site thab just the domain extension, we have so many .com extension websites that do not generate anything for the owner.yes, the name you choose for your domain matters more than the extension you choose. You can use xyz extension and still rank better than dot com if you have high quality contents
The problem at times is the fact that so many people are already used to the .com and they do not know that other domain extensions are valuable too, so they ignore them.It doesn't matter mainly on the domain extension, what matters most is the article you're dropping of its corresponding to what readers like or not.
That's just it, even when i was entering into online newly, i was thinking its simply .com extension, but when i settled down, i got to know its never only .com others follows too.The problem at times is the fact that so many people are already used to the .com and they do not know that other domain extensions are valuable too, so they ignore them.
Last week, I read on Twitter that eth.co sold for $300,000. This is to tell you that any good keyword in .co would definitely sell if you can be patient to wait.
Nothing beats a dotcom extension because it's easier to remember. Sometimes when you're typing and you input .co, it can be automatically completed. Though people have given good ideas to why that extension can be useful, it depends on what you want to use it for. I'll advise you make sure there's not .com extension of your intended domain name.co extension is cool depending on its usecase. If you are targeting traffic from Colombia and its environment then .CO extension would be a great deal.
I don't see any thing wrong in dot co domain name extension. They are lots of big and legit site that uses the extension.so far I have not met any .co domain and honestly, personally I don't even like this domain. I prefer a .com (it's $ 1.20 on godaddy a .com domain / year)
You can use any extension you want but .com will always be better. Extensions like .com, org, info,co are usually expensive than the rest. Picking them will be good if your website covers a broad niche.I am yet to try my hands on this domain but I hear that you can use any domain extension you want it does not matter, what ultimately matter sis what name you chose.
