Choosing Staff Members

How do you get Staff Members, do you choose them after lots of dedication, so you have an application system?

I personally look for people with lots of dedication and knowledge, if I get sent a PM asking for a Staff Position, I would usually just tell them what they need to do. If they ask a second time then I'd give them an official board warning.

I think hiring staff from your active users can be better than using freelancer sites to hire staff. When you hire staff, make sure the person is well versed with your requirement, has skills with forum management.

If you choose a staff from your own active users who have never been warned, who have always followed rules, and also created good quality posts, I do not think you will end up sending a board warning. I do not see any necessity of taking harsh decision against staff. If you don't like, you can just ask him to leave without making a scene.
