Just saw a user go by the alias "Jesus" and it got me thinking- do you block members from using potentially offensive usernames?

I've always banned names like staff, admin, moderator, etc. from being used but that's as far as I go. Every now and then a name will pop up I'll take action on but it's always conditional. I feel limiting names is bad because it limits the freedom of your users.

I block offensive usernames, any racist terms or inappropriate words that may be too much for users under age that may be viewing the forum. I also don't allow the usernames "admin" or "mod", as they distinguish a rank that may cause users confusion. I've seen administrators on various forums go by the name of "admin", so that's one reason I don't want to allow that username.

I don't block specific usernames, because I believe that everyone has the right to express themselves via the username. However, if the username is offensive to a particular group or person (e.g. n word) then I would simply delete the user and ban the username if the software allows me to do so.
