Between a laptop and desktop which is advisable to buy for children.

I can say a desktop is more advisable because it has a minimal risk of spoiling also for beginners desktop is advisable it allows children to know more about all desktop componets, such as which is CPU which is Keyboard etc.

I think desktop is good, because it be place were everyone can see it and monitor what the children are doing, it can not be carried around unlike laptop which the children may take to their room were you will not be able to monitor what there doing. Desktop does not spoil easily.

To me, i think the best to buy for a kid is a laptop because it is portable and it can easily be cinveyrs from one place to another. Because cases may warrant that the child will need the computer elsewhere and will have to go with it, if it is a desktop, that will not be possible

Based on my experience as an IT professional and a parent, I suggest that you buy your child a laptop ... a balance between the " everything but the kitchen sink" features of a desktop-replacement laptop, and ...

A child that can handle desktop will automatically handle laptop as well so for me I prefer buying laptop for my children because it's easily movable and it's take a small space compared to desktop. Though laptop might be expensive in some cases but will be better in long term

A laptop is the best option for students who are going to school outside of the home every day, and need a computer for classes. While laptops are more delicate than desktop PCs, you can now find rugged laptops that will take a fall or two without being destroyed.

I prefer the desktop to the laptops, laptops are fragile compare to the desktop while desktop are rugged. Most children are careless, they can unawarely distroy the laptops. But the desktop could be immobile thereby the chances of spoilage is reduced. Since most of the children home work is from home, then, the work are to be done through the desktop at home.

Laptops are obviously more portable than desktops, so the more important question is whether or not your family needs portability. ... If you plan to move the computer infrequently, a desktop is a better buy for your money.

I will say the desktop is better to buy for the children instead of laptop because desktop is not easy to carried so they can't spoil it by throw it on the ground. Secondly, it will only be at home for them to be use and desktop is very strong in battery.
Desktop is old model and cannot run fast all the features of desktop is old and difficult to use
but laptops is better to buy and the childrencan use it easily and take interest in it
Did you say children, well timeliness is everything, certain age requires certain exposure. Different families with different principles a desktop computer is not a bad suggestion depending on the urgency, everything should flow gradually.

As a general rule of thumb, you typically want to do the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing. If your friends are talking about selling bonds and putting all that money in the stock market, it might be a good time to sell some stocks and buy bonds. When everyone is getting in, you should be getting out!

Laptop would be more preferable because it operate on the most updated version, desktop is a bit outdated. Also a laptop uses battery that way it can operate without electricity unlike desktop. A laptop is very portable and be carry about easily, it is use in wide range of schools, ranging from high school to college, it is easily accessible unlike desktop.

powerful laptops out there offer the best of both worlds for those who need power and portability — just hook up a laptop to a monitor if you need a bigger screen and you're set. Thing is, though, powerful laptops don't really offer the best of both worlds. They're often relatively heavy and large, and while they may be powerful, they're not always as powerful as a desktop with the "same" specs.

Laptops are a great option for students who go to school out of the house every day, and they need classes for computers. Although laptops are more fragile than desktop PCs, you can now find rugged laptops that will fall two or three without crashing.

Desktop is advisable to buy for children the reason is that we will be able to monitor the way they were using it but I u buy laptop for them it will be easy for carry it any where in which I may not be able to monitor them what they are using it for.Desktop is station on the table and it is easy to use to train young one.Even if u are not at home they can practice it on their own without supervision

I say buy children desktops because laptops or screens that children can carry from one place to another have a higher risk of breakage, which can cause you damage. Are. Because I have taken my children with me, that is why I am giving you this advice. I have often seen children take things from one place to another and drop things which cause you harm. So you should always buy something that doesn't hurt you.

In my opinion desktop is better than laptop. Because we can see on computer that what the children use? What they see? We can keep an eye on them. But if we will buy laptop for them it is not good for them.

I'm seeking advice on which to buy for children between laptop and desktop.
I was told a desktop is very strong and rugged than a laptop, that a laptop spoils easily and not strong as a desktops.
But you know that a laptop uses battery which makes it available for use after electricity shortage, but when there is no electricity you can't use a desktop.

So which one is advisable to buy for children.?
i prefer for my self laptop more then desktop because it is easy to carry it is more reliable for me and do my work in it and battery play an important in a laptop it is very useful and give me a good battery life.
