Making your small business to be known is one great challenge to those who are still starting one. Here are some tips to make it happen.
1. Post it Online
Establish, assert, and update all listings and profiles of local businesses. Be sure to maintain an updated and active Google local business listing, a Facebook page and every other website that provides local profiles for your industry, in addition to your website.
2. Make your Face Known
Your business will stand out in a small local market by putting a face on the company or product. When they know who's behind the curtain, people have an easier time trusting a corporation. The more they trust you, the more likely they are to make a purchase. So, make sure to get out, introduce yourself and connect with others in the group.
3. Give Sample Products
I think that giving away free samples of your product (if that's possible) can do wonders in a small local market. There's a local chocolate maker that I remembered with that successfully used this technique. They hired two minimum wage students to offer chocolate samples along with a brochure at rush hour in some of the city's busiest intersections.
These techniques were used by most of the business that wants to be known. How about you? Do you know any techniques that can be added? Please feel free to comment your thoughts.
