layoff is the result of failing business or a loss of revenue.Companies do not layoff staff without valid reason, it is usually when they are not making much profit or are not generating any profit. This all started with Corona pandemic and has continued to due to on going war in Ukraine, and now in Israel.

In terms of sites, no. I was earning good from a few sites and they never recovered. Google changes too much too fast and I just tanked in the rankings on their search engine.

Exactly! The rate at which people lost their job this year by being layed off is very alarming. I'm not even sure people lost their job to this extent during the time of the pandemic of corona virus like the way it happened this year or maybe they happened almost in a similar way.
