It is generally believed that it is quite impossible to juggle a regular job and a freelancing at the same time. However, from my own experience, I can confidently say that's not the case. I used to have a day job and in the mean time was also working on freelancing sites. I managed both commitments equally. As time went on, I had to make a choice because working 12-13 hours daily without a single day off was becoming unsustainable for me.

A lot of people will tell you that you also need to do side hustle to build a better financials but after your 8 hours work in the day job, it will be quite impossible to work in your side hustle. By the way, are you juggling with a job and freelancing.

Yes, you can do it, i have been on and off thru 14 years... buttt
to make good money freelancing or working from home, you should be pasionate about it, and gotta focus mostly all your efforts to make it happen... with a job, providing safe money.. every month... you rent is safe... your car is safe... then you start to turn off the laptop more and more often... and Bang! your financial freedom is gone, you depend on someone else to eat. This happened to me, i feel stupid.. and lazy.. but i'm hungry... and thats giving me the drive, and the focus, to regain, to reconquer the web, and with it... my financial freedom again :)

So let's try to focus on here, no?

I do some freelancing along with working a full time job. What I do is, after work and after eating dinner I will hop onto my computer and put in a few hours online. I mainly post on websites but I also do a few surveys here and there. I have fun working on my freelance work more than my job, but I feel like I wouldn't have enough income for basic needs if I only stuck to freelancing. (I'm not in a position where I can do this quite yet.)

Yes, that is the biggest issue, but the more you do your daily full time job, the further away it becomes... atleast in my experience, and if u have a good paying job, that scenario is more likely to happen, and you end up just working for someone else all your life lol

I believe you are likely to be financially free if you are positioned with a good paying job and have good cashflow management skills. If you freelance, you might not always be occupied with jobs, thus, you might not always have income opportunities.

Personally, when I decide to start working as a freelancer, I took the decision to do it on a part time basis and it was because of the amount of money I used to make from it which can't be enough for me to depend on it as a full time job. So, yes, it's necessary for me to combine working both of them.

Let's say you work 8 hours in a day job and if you work 8 hours on your freelancing project you might be able to make equal amount of money, and sometimes even more through freelancing. However, for this to happen you need to have on demand skills and high paying skills

Exactly!!

Without having the right skill sets to thrive as a freelancer, it's going to be difficult to have any good breakthrough in the industry. This is because it's a very competitive industry with few clients. You have to own more to give to be sought after.

JOB is a 3 letter dirty word. 🥳
I "freelance" for some local businesses performing IT related functions. Saves them quite a bit of money, especially when you consider I don't charge them for the work.
Of course, I get first dibs anytime the computer infrastructure is being upgraded. Gives me toys to play with without any out of pocket expense other than time, which being retired I do have some spare of.
One that I did do work for decided they wanted a "formal" agreement with a company... they are paying (on average) about $93,000 a year to that company that they went with now. They asked if I was willing to come back to doing the work for them under our old "agreement". I literally laughed in the owners face and told him he didn't realize how good he had it, and now that boat had long sailed and sank out in the middle of the ocean, and if he wanted that type of work I'd be happy to accept $75K a year with understanding some work would be at an additional fee level. Seems the company they are dealing takes 2-3 days to respond to issues and they were used to it being taken care of that day or the next. And they have had to call multiple times for the same issue to get it fixed on the different computers instead of it being fixed and rolled out to all of them at one time. And I think they are honestly contemplating it... need to figure out a way to discourage that - probably by high additional fees for network and medical equipment specific service calls.

One of the major problem with freelancing is a lot of freelancers come from developing countries and they are willing to work for a low payment, thus, making difficult for others to earn decent amount of money.

Unfortunately, this is a sad truth. I have seen so many of them with what they do on Seoclearks, it's very disappointing because they make jobs seem to useless with what you can earn from it because they have shortsold the services because they are desperate to be hired. I see the same thing on promotional forums too with some writer's in developed worlds too.

I work as a freelancer because of my health and inability to work away from home. If it wasn't for my health and I was able to work away from home, I believe juggling a 9 - 5 and then coming home to work on my freelance work would be difficult.
I once had a day job and I was trying to find time to work with my freelancing projects in the morning and afternoon as well as during the lunch break at the office. I can tell you, it was very difficult. I gave up job
