I enjoy being part of more cosy, small forums. I find it easier to keep up with things and easier to get to know people on the forum and build up friendships and close groups.

Smaller, cosier forums are also great to turn to after spending some time on the larger, chaotic forums.

I love small forums and groups! You can get to know people easier in a small community over a large one. I love large ones though as well. Sometimes the larger the community is, the more chaotic and overwhelming it can be.

The bigger issue with large forums is rivalries. Members of larger forums can decide to create rivalries that never existed and that can seriously affect the growth of such forum.
