Exactly! It is actually the purpose of conducting the survey in the first place. The companies that are sponsoring the surveys are doing so to get data from their customers about their product and services in order to find out the best way to upgrade them.

Since survey companies will not only use your response but also your personal information such as name, age, location etc. If you are too concerned about your privacy, you should never do surveys. However, I believe there is no issue in sharing your name and location because these are basic information and sharing these information might not harm you in totality.
