Afraid of closing at night?

My sister used to work at Subway and she never liked to close alone, she always wanted someone with her when closing. And with Subway I believe it closes at like 10pm. So it's often dark by then. So she was sometimes afraid to be alone while closing, as you never know if someone could be out there waiting.

Anyway, are you afraid of closing your store at night? Has anything ever happened during your closing time?

There is nothing that is going to make me accept any kind of job that is going to have me closing very late in the night because of the security risk that I am being exposed when I am coming home. This is because a lot of people have been murdered along the lonely road for their wallet or smartphone.

I think that this all depends on how safe and secure your city is. In our city, no one can even imagine walking around late at night. This is because not only because of criminals, there are many other issues as well. We have a huge problem of stray dogs. These stray dogs start roaming on the streets late at night. They will attack any random person walking on the streets late at night. So, closing the shop and walking on the streets late at night may not be safe in here.

The latest I have worked late was 8:00 PM and I had to get paid extra for working overtime. My work usually close 5:30 PM, so anything that makes me work beyond 6:00 PM will definitely pay me extra. Also, working till 11 PM in the evening will cut down my time with my family.

That's really a question for those who are making money offline but then, I think there's nothing wrong with that although it depends on height of security in your region. Ad for the online earners, we really don't have anything to worry about.

If you are such a person that closes late in the night and seems to afraid to go alone. You should make arrangements for someone to take home or reduce the number of hours you work during the evening..

I have had to close quite a few times during the early morning even at 4AM when I worked at Taco Bell, I really was not afraid since I had confidence in me and I do not think anything was going to happen to me, and in fact nothing ever happened to me, but I guess for many people it is not comfortable to have to go home at that time especially if they walk to home and it is not so nearby, it also depends on the danger of the city where you live, mine is relatively quiet.

If the company where you're working is always working 24 hours every day, there's always going to be need for a staff to work overtime but it's all up to the staff to choose to do so or not. Even if I'm going to work overtime in any company, there's no way I would go home at an odd hour.

Majority of the business would not do so. This is because they cannot afford to hire staff that would maintain the business for 24 hours. Moreover, their nature of business may not necessarily force them to open the business for 24 hours. This is why they close quite early.

Night business is very risky. You can be robbed and killed. I won't work on any job which would have me going home at night. There are so many things which might go and I would find myself at the bad side of it. I need to leave work in daylight and be home before it's dark.

There quite a good number of businesses that are open for work for 24 hours. Hospitals and hotels work 24 hours on the clock. They work in shifts and they have lots of staffs doing the shifts. It's on such jobs you will have some workers be forced to work in the night.
