Advertising through telemarketing

Calling people on the phone has been something I was never too fond about. Soliciting people through the phone is usually frowned upon. Though not illegal to do, it does bug people. With that being said, do you think advertising through the means of telemarketing is a good idea? Can it benefit your business?

I think telemarketing is an outdated concept. These days people use caller ID on their phones, even on smartphones, so they do not entertain any unsolicited calls and do not attend calls from marketing companies.

I would not ever use this form of advertisement as I believe it is too direct and it might put off so many potential customers as I don't like when some one calls me for the purpose of advertisement

Telemarketing can be used by businesses to distribute advertisements to present and potential clients. While using telemarketing, there are other statutory issues for promotion, billing, and collection.

In my opinion telemarketing is not a good strategy of marketing because people don't like phone calls which are advertising something or they may think that it is a scam.
