Really interesting research from the Pew Research Center

Quarter of all webpages that existed at one point between 213 and 2023 are no longer accessible. This is because the page was deleted or removed. How does that compare to your site?

From sites in 2013, up to 38% of all webpages are no longer accessible.

Disappeared from where? From search engine index or from the web? These are two things. Search engines can re move links form index for various reasons, and when the owner of site decides to shut down, the site will no longer accessible. More than 100 links from my own websites no longer exist as the wenbsites were shut down or the webpages were deleted.
