All type of intrusive ads really dislike to me, and this include those preroll ads on YouTube, pop-up windows, interstitial pages, and so on.
Anything that may annoy a regular visitor is bad because you want to get them browsing your site and returning, but those type of advertising either scares them aware or make them stay but blaming you or the service, like we use to blame ads over YouTube videos and those over other streaming media sites.
Now, when it comes to regular ads, I may say that also dislike multimedia ads either as webmaster or just being a regular surfer. Multimedia ads make pages low slow despite they are served from a third-party location, and some of these may eat up too much system resources.
Even worst, some come with embedded music, sound effects or talkative persons. If your speakers volume is set to high, it may really scare you because you are not expecting to hear something suddenly, but if you are at work or at any other compromising place, sound can bring additional problems.
