Your favorite forum design?

A lot of forums now tend to have professional, elegant and really good designs. Have you visited a forum and really adored the design of it, what did it look like? How good was it and why did it appeal to you? If you opened a forum, would you have a similar design? Elaborate and explain!

My favorite forum design ever was designed by Alfredo Garcia. It was for a forum that he never released, and I'm pretty sure he lost the theme is completely gone now. I could have sworn he told me he lost all his old themes, assuming I remember correctly. Alfredo made a lot of amazing phpBB themes, but this one was especially wild because of its usage of purple. The theme had a big purple header, and it was fabulous. The color scheme was attractive and very unique. If I had a designer who could make something similar, I would definitely love to have a theme like it. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I've come across any phpBB designers that have Alfredo's talent. He was a master.
