There are a lot of web hosting companies that offer a free domain for the first year if you buy one of their hosting plans. There are conditions applied if you want to use this feature and the primary condition is you need to pay for the one-year hosting fee in advance. A lot of website builders like weebly, wix etc also offer free domain if you buy their premium service for the term of one year and the free domain applies only for the first year. If you choose to build a website through wordpress premium service, you also get a free domain for one year.

Here are some of the companies that offer free domain if you are buying their hosting plan.
Hostinger
iPage
Bluehost, etc.

Would you choose any of the aforementioned companies just because they are offering free domain with their hosting plan?

I believe this would depend on why you want to open the website. If you are looking at commercializing it, the a free hosting domain won't work for you. If you have a registered business with plans to reach out to people then you should be looking at a paid domain. It's not bad to host on a free domain, you just have to decide why you are creating the site.

You did not get my point. I was not talking about free domains from freenom. A lot of hosting companies give you free dot com if you by hosting and pay one-year fees in advance. When I said free domain I was talking about normal domains which other wise would cost money to register. What I was asking was would you choose a host just because you can get a free dot com for your website. Before you comment try to understand what is being said.

Your domain name should always be kept separate from your web host to avoid pitfalls, such as domain name loss. If you decide to move to another site builder or web host, keep your domain

Free domain hosting is mostly linked to the what I was talking about. I guess it was just a misinterpretation on my part. If a company is offering free domain for a while, of course I will accept it. It's always best to explore a service before committing significantly to it.

You can accept it if you want. But you have to note that free domain do not come with the features you usually get with a very good domain that cost some money. As for me, I will take the offer but only temporarily.

Whether I will chose a hosting company because it offers c free domain depends. On what I want to use the site it will be hosting for if its something serious then I would get a domain I will pay for. But if its me just testing out my skills on web creation then I can try a free domain. Another is the level of security and assurance I can get from this hosting company so these a things I would consider.

There a lot of things though that I consider when choosing a hosting provider. Yes I am more likely to choose that provider because as a beginner am obsessed with adding domain names and this would actually come in handy off course if there is no harsh limit to it though, and I think a year is small. In addition I consider its speed, customer support, price and the hosting plans and prices in general.

You must be joking right. You don't seem to understand how a domain and hosting work. Most of the web hosting companies, including big names like Godaddy, Namecheap, Hostgator, etc. are also domain registrars. There is no issue with having a domain and web host from the same company. Unless your web host is very bad, using the same host and domain registrar helps.

Definetley, free domain is not totally free. Three terms and conditions which you must agree to even the free period is for some time before you pay for the services so I advise anybody trying to use free domain to migrate to a higher plan, since it has it limit to users.

On the other hand, if you purchase your domain name and web hosting from the same company, then you will not have to change domain name settings. It is also much easier to manage and renew both services under the same dashboard. If you want to buy domain names separately, then you can do so from top providers.

In my book there is no such thing as free in the bundled service. Usually a package has the items that look complete so instead of doing your own domain name registration you get it free from the hosting provider. For sure the domain name registration fee will also be included in the bundled service so it is not free since as you stated premium service. Anyway, some hosting providers are on the level and this comment is not to smear them. My point is just the amount or the cost of their service that is bundled which means every cost is included.

Offering of gift and incentives for customers is one of the best way of advertisement which tells a long way on the business sustainability. People like and appreciate gift a lot no matter how small. I rather host my website where I will get free domain registration as far as the hosting company offers a good service. Once I get what I'm looking for, I'm okay.

In my opinion there is no such thing as free services or domain in the world today on the other hand if you purchase your domain name and web hosting then there is no need for you to be expecting any such things as what you just said.offering of gift and incentives for customers tho is one of the Best way for advertising your market.

Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency; Ethereum is a platform.
Bitcoin transactions are primarily monetary; Ethereum transactions may be executable code.
Transactions are much faster on the Ethereum network than on Bitcoin’s.

I don't believe in free things when am building a business because it may fail at anytime. And it will be hard to find a company that's will give you free domain name. Either it will give you a paid domain with a free hosting. But I don't use free host because it is always below standard.

One thing about the free domain name offer by the web hosting companies is that they would have found a way to add the charge to the existing package. so I am not always fascinated whenever I see such an offer. I prefer registering my domain name separately I from the hosting company. once I have done that then I'm going to link the two together the domain name and hosting account through nameservers.

Building a website has become the most important way to get your message out in the world. However, when you are first starting, you may not want to spend money on making a website.
Most people simply want something quick, easy, and free.

Those are my thoughts too, If I'm hard pressed for money and I need the domain desperately that's only when I'll consider getting a domain free of charge, I believe in the saying no free meal in Freetown.

I will of course choose a hosting company that will provide me a free domain. However, I will not choose any tom, dick and harry hosting company, I will also see if the hosting company also has the reputation
