Would you allow a friend to make a site on your server?

Lets say you have your own server where your websites live, and you have a lot of open space. Would you ever consider letting friends or anyone else to use your server to host their site?

Why not? There are some hosting plan that can be used for two or more website. If the person is an hustler like me but can't afford the means to buy his or her own hosting and I have some, I will definitely share with the person

I don't see any problem in letting your friends and family use your server in order to create their own website. I think that it all depends on the type of website that they may want to create however because that could be a factor to consider.

Letting a friend use my server to host his or her website is nice thing to do, but must be ever ready in taking care of the little things like server maitenance ,because we are now co-workers

There are many thing we do for the sake of friendship especially if the friend is nice and loyal , so letting a friend use my server to host his or her site is not a bad thing to do.

In a situation where the friendship is not in a healthy state even if I will allow such thing there are agreement we will both sign in order to allow such thing to happen

I see no reason why i should not allow my friend do that. As long as the site content does not go against any of my rules or policies, i have no reason not to agree, unless our relationship is not that really in a good place.

Well if I have a managed web hosting plan,I can allow someone host his website on it as long as the website won't consume a lot of resources especially bandwidth and his website doesn't engage in illegal activities.

Allowing people to host their sites on my server will be lovely because it's a means to make some money for myself. Just look at it from the business point, you will find many opportunities in it. The only thing you need do is to lay the guiding principle and the mode of operation.

The business is business then not the fact of being friend to offer him or her hosting service for free however it will be possible for some extra income and pay out hosting fees.

I will allow my friend to set up his website on my server if it happens that I choose the unlimited package. None of my friend can hurt me when it comes to face like that.

When I was learning website design a German friend gave me free hosting for 1 year on his server. I could have extended it for another year if I would have requested but I was shy to ask. If I have my own server then maybe I would also do that.

Letting my friend to host a site knowing fully well I have space in my websites is not a problem but we have to come to agreement that he will taken care or do some maintainers
