WordPress has made a lot of lives easier when it comes to the issue of building websites. The one thing that gave them the edge even though they weren't as popular as blogger back in the day is their innovation to be more than just a blogging platform.
The idea of the CMS is great for me.

I use WordPress as a blogging platform because it is pretty much easier to operate and it is very flexible. you will not believe that I operate my blog platform on my mobile phone if I'm not at home or in the office.

I use WordPress for blogging because it makes the whole process pretty much easier compared to other softwares. it is easy to get a blog post indexed on Google search engine with the help of some plug-ins like rank maths in WordPress.

Both are great. However, I will choose worspress as content management system. If you are using aa blogging you have two options, free and paid. I don't recommend free because you get subdomain. I also find paid service quite expensive.

People get confused about wordpress because they don't know wordpress is a content management system as well as a blogging platform. Their blogging platform has two options, one free, another paid.

I think that most of these platforms and services generally do have two options for the one to be paid and the other to be free so that people can experience it first before they make a decision.

The basic idea behind having a free option is to impress people with the free version so that they end up buying the premium version. Not just wordpres, almost all website builders have free options as well as paid options. For instance, you can usew wix forever for free but you can also use the premium option. When they are giving free versions, they have a lot of limitations.
