In 2003 Wordpress was launched as a free blogging platform, however, later it evolved as a content management system. If you want to use wordpress, you cna use it in two ways, one as a blogging platform (free and premium), two content management system to create any kind of website you want (blog, business website, online store, etc.
Wodpress as a blogging platform
If you want to use wordpress as a blogging platform, you can go to wordpress.com, sign up and launch your blog just in a couple of minutes. There are two options to choose, one a free blog, two, a paid blog. Free blog will get you a subdomain (yoursite.wordpress.com), premium service will give you a blog with a custom domain. When you choose premium option what you are doing is hosting your blog with wordpress hosting
Wordpress as a content management system (CMS)
When you are using wordpress as CMS, you can create wordpress site locally by downloading from wordpress.org. You don't need a domain or hosting to create locally, however, if you want to make your site live, you need hosting. If you have hosting account, you can directly install wordpress on your server through Cpael

As for me, I prefer WordPress as a blogging platforms than a content management system. Although both are important for a website to grow and attractive traffic. One of the reasons why I use WordPress is because it has free features and easy to lunch your blog

To be honest the only time that I have seen WordPress being used is as a blogging site and I have never come across in the sense of content management, however this is good to learn off because it shows teat there is growth and development within that company as well, and it shows that thy are expanding their horizons as well which is very important in terms of trying to make the most of the opportunities that they are presented with.

I use wordpress content management system. I have never tried creating wordpress site locally on my computer. I install wordpress via Cpanel. I did try to experiment with other content management systems like joomla and drupal, however, these are not as versatile as wordpress.

I prefer WordPress as a blogging platform for me. The reason is that it's simple to use and it's users friendly. Another cool feature I like about WordPress is the ability to schedule posts to be published at the time someone wishes. It makes it easy for me to publish lots of content at once and schedule them at appropriate time.

Even when you use wordpress as a content management system, the interface you get is the same that you use while blogging. When you use wordpress content management system, you will be installing wordpress in your servers and use the same wordpress tools to create your website or blog.

Both are great. However, I will choose worspress as content management system. If you are using aa blogging you have two options, free and paid. I don't recommend free because you get subdomain. I also find paid service quite expensive.

I do not have any experience with these two. However, I believe using wordpress is a content management system is better than using wordpress is a blogging pltform. Free blogging is not very good option.

Whenever someone wants to start a blog , the basic thing they look out for is something they can build and manage quick and at a budget so I think as a blog is better.

If you are choosing wordpress blog, you have two options, one free blog, two premium service. Premium service from wordpress is very expensive even though they give you a free domain for the first year

yes, I have checked prices of wordpress blogs. The basic version cost $5 per month but they do not allow you to use advertising on your site. If you want to run ads, you need business version, which cost more

Blogger is a simple service that enables you to create a blog and publish it online immediately. WordPress, on the other hand, is a full-featured Content Management System (CMS) for building websites (in this article, we’re talking about self-hosted WordPress, which is different from WordPress.com). Each has its own unique pros and cons, which you’ll want to be aware of before settling on one over the other.

WordPress began life as a blogging platform, however, and it’s still suited to that application. Like Blogger, WordPress is also free, although it won’t host your blog for you. You’ll need to choose a hosting plan and pick out a domain name, after which you can install and set up your WordPress site. If you’re looking for a affordable WordPress host with easy-start features, we recommend Bluehost.

The thing is that WordPress is multi-purpose website creator, content management system and also a blog creator so I will say that WordPress can serve for all these purposes without fail because I have been using this platform for a very long time without any form of complain about it.

I really like everything written in this article and is one of the reason why I can do away or coming to this platform, because am very sure apart from earning I will learn one or two things as well.

For a full control of your website, you should use wordpress as a content management system. Blogging platform is not under your full control. That's what I hear

When you use wordpress as a content management system, what you are doing is using wordpress to blog. The only advantage of wordpress cms over blogging is you control the website fully when you use as a cms

This is actually a good way to utilise WordPress as a content management system so in essence what you are saying is that we can use what press as a content management system for our blog?

If you use wordpress.com to create blog, you don't have full control on your website, If you use wordpress, org to build website, you will have a full control.

You have explained this very well, your answer has provided insights on what is wordpress.org and what is wordpress.com. A lot of people get confused with these two versions of wordpress.

People get confused about wordpress because they don't know wordpress is a content management system as well as a blogging platform. Their blogging platform has two options, one free, another paid.
