I'm tempted to try Woltlab again.. but that $123 USD for Redis ability is simply chapping my ass to the point I can't pull the trigger.
Since I'm already running ES on my VPS, I'd like to be able to make use of it... but NOT at over twice the cost as with XF.
I'm about to investigate IPS once more... the price will be close in the long run, and with IPS at least I can get Pages, which offers features/functions that WoltLab and XF still are dreaming of.
Around 105 (for 6 months) to renew my IPS license (core, pages and commerce)... and $189 to only get WoltLab and its calendar (which IPS includes in it's core)... guess which I'm leaning more towards. Hmm... which makes more since script->script. I realize that standalone for IPS will probably cease in a year to so.... but if the core is stable it may be worth it.
I may simply renew my other XF license and engage @Bob's AMS, RMS and CAS add-ons on it at initially a higher cost.. but cheaper in the long run.
<edit>I'm a hair away from pulling the trigger on an XF renewal and using Bob's add-ons on it.... sitting down and putting it to paper and in the long run it comes out ahead.... unless XF decides to fold under.
