Will we see wireless technology one day?

Do you think we will see truly wireless technology one day? Tech that doesn't need to be tethered to a cable at all, even to charge it? Just purely wireless, no cables at all for anything, tech? Do you think this is possible or even feasible?

Well we already have wireless chargers, you know those electronic pads that you place a phone on and it just charges? Those are wireless. Of course you need to connect it to something, but you will always need a way to charge the battery. Maybe solar charging, but that's not as good as people make it out to be, it takes a lot longer to charge with wireless panels than right in the mains.

But yeah, we're already at a wireless stage, so I don't quite understand how we can go deeper than that aside from finding a way that batteries never drain of energy or you can replenish the battery when not in use or something. But I don't think anything like that is possible.
