Traffic Exchanges are programs or tools that generates traffic. By using traffic exchanges, you can send traffic to your site. How do you use traffic exchange? You first join a program, sun their script and earn credits, and then use those credits to generate traffic for your site. You can also purchase credits.
Now, you might ask, is this real human traffic? No, this is not human traffic, they use bots/softwares to send traffic to your site. Does this traffic show on your analytic account. yes, it does, but your bounce rate will be really high, sometimes it might evenbe 100 percent? If that is the case, why do people use traffic exchange, one they do not know much about it, two, they want to artificially increase their alexa rank (which is mainly determined about traffic to your site).

You might maipulate traffic and get huge traffic on your site and be eligible to participate on some ad networks that have high traffic requirement, however, having ads on your site makes no sense until yiu are receiving legit traffic. Your site needs traffic that converts so that you earn money. Traffic exchange traffic does not convert.

The worst thing to do is traffic exchange, besides the things you mnetionned above, Google clearly states on its page that if a user gets caught doing traffic exchange (on youtube or websites) will get his account permantely terminated

As far as I am concerned, the usage of traffic exchange services is not beneficial to a website or a blog for the long term because traffic from these exchanges and not for the long time as they will surely leave because their are motivating factor is the money that they were paid to visit your website or blog.

I am one of the people that believe so much in organic traffic. All you need is a knowledge of SEO and how to write quality articles then you will see your blog boom within a short period of time
