Why do you post on Forums?

I like to socialise with structured conversation. So much easier when there’s content to respond to, and when you can just respond to what you’re interested in, as opposed to the awkwardness in a social setting where you din’t know what the group is on about and you’re scared being silent will make you look uninterested but asking too many questions will make you look annoying. Oh, the dilemma!

The first forum I joined was a forum associated with a writing site where I published. Later, I was introduced to paid-to-post forums. I post on forums for three reasons, to promote my sites, to earn some cash incentives, and three to have fun. Why do you post on forums?
I prefer to post on forums because of the highly organized structure of forums, and the "object" permanence. Social media sites like Facebook and Twitter (I'm sorry, X), posts are too easily lost in the crowd and everything is piled on top of everything else. Even Reddit, although is semi organized, it's still too easy for topics to get lost. Another benefit of forums that I prefer is that the member base seems more tight-knit (and friendly for the most part).

Agreed, ppl tend to portray their more authentic selves on forums. On social media it’s primarily glamour.

I post in forums because I find better people here in comparison to social media. I really enjoy talking and engaging with the community. I don't see negativity in forums. It's a very rare thing to exist here. Forums are mostly filled with positive vibes which is why I love spending time in forums.

I'm actually only on support and webmaster forums. Social networks I'm forced to use from time to time because of my work, but not privately. For fun in my free time I tend to use imageboards like pr0gramm.com or 4chan.
