Elon Musk is more of a business man, So I guess he saw the potential that Twitter has. And He realize He can actually make a lot of money out of it. The aim of every business person is to make profit.

The goals of a business man is to make more money for themselves and that's why they go into investment and business , he (Elon musk ) knows that he knows better about the business.

He has understood that those that control the media have a better story to tell in their favour. That made him decide to buy Twitter, and he has gone ahead to rename it to X.

There is no way anyone is going to be willing to spend the amount which he spent on acquiring the ownership of Twitter and the person wouldn't be looking at taking advantage of all the benefits that comes with owning that particular social media platform. It's like what Microsoft had to pay in order for them to acquire to own Activision Blizzard.
