I’ll admit to liking some of Clint’s movies - the Dollars trilogy is absolutely worth a watch. There’s something about frontier honour codes, and vigilantism that are somehow compelling viewing.
Also I’d strongly advocate watching Blazing Saddles.

Westerns aren't really my cup of tea, I tried watching Yellowstone once and I didn't have much interest in it.
Bonanza intro song still gets stuck in my head to this day. I absolutely loved this show. Michael Landon is one of my favorite in TV shows, he did well in this show. 
Gunsmoke was a harder show for me to get into but watched it on occasion. I enjoyed movies with Clint Eastwood and John Wayne.
Out of recent movies I loved the newer 3:10 to Yuma and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Yellowstone is a good show - I enjoy that there are real places referenced and gone to in the show.
