We all started somewhere when it came to building websites. Which website builder do you miss? I remember starting learning HTML on geocities. Does anyone remember Geocities? It was such a cool little website builder and i'm sure it's where a lot of us learned to code in HTML and CSS. I also vaguely remember Lycos having a website builder suite as well, however, if memory serves correctly, it wasn't as robust as Geocities was back in the day.

All that said, which website builder do you miss form back in the day that is no longer online?

I do not know Geocities. The first website builder I ever used was Weebly. I had set up a personal blog on Weebly. back in 2013. later I discovered Wix and started using Wix. However, I never used premium services on any website builders. I was more interested in using content management systems like WordPress rather than website builders. I have used page builders like Elementor and Site Origin with wordpress.

I did not really use Geocities but then I heard a lot about it. My web development journey started from Weebly. It was very hard to use them but I am happy that they have come a long way.

Wix is still very much active and very good now when it comes to being very good in building websites. They have variety of price plans that ranges from $16 to $59 every month. It's one of the easiest builders to use but the only disadvantage of Wix I don't like is that you have to pay more for the best features.

Advancements in web technologies and the rise of more sophisticated website-building platforms, Geocities eventually lost its prominence and was discontinued in 2009. Nonetheless, it remains a nostalgic symbol of the early internet and the DIY website creation movement.
