We all have those times... it just so happens that my hobby creates content for my site... but it does keep me away from other sites I participate in some times.

A few samples of what I'm playing with right now, and generating content from the issues I (as a beginner) have had with OSC cameras vs mono (and OSC is supposed to be easier!).
For some reason, the software that I use, and that works so well, for my mono images crap out on these... and I have had to figure out another way to process them while trying to troubleshoot my "normal" way.

My main hobby is hiking. TBH, I'd rather do it than work on my websites, haha but I know that I have to work on my sites if I want them to go anywhere.

Luckily my main website is about my hiking, so my hobby is work activity haha

Sometime, like today... the "hobby" can draw you back into nightmares of when you worked.
Ordered a nice Intel NUC11 to install StellarMate OS X on (which is basically Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with software installed for astrophotography).
It went great, no problems setting it up and everything worked as it should... rock along a few days... get a new BeeLink U59 in based on the N5105 Jaspter processor. Well... it also has "new" WiFi 6 chipset in it (think it's the Intel AX201)... and guess what does NOT support it! Ubuntu 22.04LTS can't see it for squat. The NUC11 has an older WiFi chipset so it worked fine.
So, off I haul my happy but to the only local place I can get a WiFi USB dongle... WalMart. I buy the oldest ones they offer (a NetGear AC600)... get it home, plug it in and IT also does not work.
So, now it's back to "nightmare" time... chasing source down, compiling drivers and testing. Finally got the WiFi to work, but now I need to test it for range to see if it will reach from where my router is into my yard where I do captures.
Once I do that, I get to start the article on the install process of StellarMate OS X and the hoops I had to jump through.

Finally after getting the NUC's working... I was able to process some additional capture data.

You can see the difference between the first image and this one.

Back when you worked though, if I'm correct, what you chased down might actually harm you!
In the first 1/2 of my working career life... after the shooting I got into the IT part of it with the department, then moved over to doing it for the entire city.
It was another case where a "hobby" turned into a career.
