When a loyal staff member advertises a competitor's site

So let's say you have a loyal staff member who has been on your forum for years and one day they show up with a signature line to a competitor's forum and you realize they have now been hired away. And, either they are still working for you or have quit and are now using their many posts on your forum (via signature line) to siphon traffic from your site. What will you do?

This is a tough one! If it is really bothersome, I would just private message the member and see if you guys can arrange some sort of deal.

In my forum, there is no place for advertising.

So if a staff is caught to be doing it, I will fire the staff immediately.

I might get a bit jealous or mad, but then I would resume to how I was before.
