What's your area known for?

Yeah, Texas seems so massive in size that it takes ridiculously long just to travel across it. My sister lives in West Virginia and she can practically visit multiple states within a few hours based on where she lives.
Cory! My sister, well most of my family live in West Virginia! So that's crazy! lol. Around where does she live? Most of mine live in Charleston, or the surrounding area. I'm hoping to maybe drive up there from Texas this summer.

I hate humidity @Tyrsson :( I believe I drove through Birmingham and it wasn't that humid compared to some places I've been, but I believe it. I hate humidity regardless :p

Come through mid summer.... You'll need a towel before you get through pumping gas and that's if you pay at the pump ;)
I know I drove through in June or July so who knows. I also was on the way to Florida, so maybe Florida just shocked me so bad because of the torrential rains and humidity that I forgot all about the humidity of Birmingham xD

I would classify my whole country as my area since it only takes two hours from one end to the other. Belgium's famous for chocolate, the city Bruges, waffles and French fries. :D

She lives in Morgantown. She's lived there for about half a year now, I think. She got a children's hospital job, which she was applying to around the country trying to land her dream job and she finally got accepted.

I have cousins up there for college. I’ve only visited Morgantown once. I know I also have cousins also take their kids to the doctor in Morgantown.

I’m so glad she got her dream job! Does she like living up there?

Aside from something bad, I didn't really know since I've only lived here for about 18 months.. So I looked it up:
Rotherham is the hometown of the Chuckle Brothers, Arsenal and England goalkeeper David Seaman along with World Cup and English Premier League referee Howard Webb. Sean Bean began his acting career in Rotherham while actors Liz White, Ryan Sampson, Dean Andrews and Darrell D'Silva also hail from Rotherham, as does former leader of the Conservative Party, William Hague, and Sir Donald Coleman Bailey. Presenter James May grew up in Rotherham. His co-presenter on Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson trained to be a journalist at the Rotherham Advertiser.

Comedians Sandy Powell and Duggie Brown were born in Rotherham, as was actress Lynne Perrie. Christopher Wolstenholme of Muse, DJ Kritikal Mass, Dean Andrews of Life on Mars, artist Margaret Clarkson, band Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers, musician Rebecca Taylor and singer-actor Rob McVeigh were all born or mostly raised in Rotherham.
Quite a few famous people were born and/or grew up here, it seems!
