What's the required file size of any attachment that would be allowed to be uploaded on your forum? Do you allow for a bigger file size or smaller one? What's the reason behind making that decision on the attachment size? I have seen some forums that allow for attachment size of more than 40MB.

In a thread that is identical to this one, someone said the reason for low uploading space for files is caused by the hosting provider as you are allocated the space for this upload but I don't know how true it is

On one of my forums, I allow 400 Kb files and on one forum, I allow up to 40 MB. Allowing larger files on your forums might create issues when your forum has a lot of members.
