We are dependent on everything. We are dependent on money from the Federal Reserve (which is not controlled by the government by the way) for paper (money) to exchange for goods and services. We are dependent on the government to take care of us and keep us safe. We are dependent on the military to fight our battles for us. We are dependent on grocery stores to supply us with goods. We are dependent on jobs to pay us so we can survive. We are dependent on hospitals to keep us alive. The list is pretty much infinite.

The soul is independent. I think that is the only independent thing besides the mind or thoughts.

Physically speaking everything is dependent on something. Us humans depend on each other, whether we like to admit to that or not.
