I myself have seen my fellows struggling in CS , programming to be specific. What do you think , why does it happens? I think CS can only be done by those , who are interested in it , otherwise it's not possible to succeed in it.

Personally I think studying computer science is a complete waste of time. rather than going full-time to study computer science in university, i prefer majoring in the particular field I'm interested in if its programming

That is one way of thinking on this , I do prefer myself to specialise in whatever you like the most.

I think the reason for the struggle is as a result of being in the wrong place. Programming should come naturally to someone that decides to study computer science because it's a fundamental part of the course. I majored in accounting and numbers has always been something that I could relate with.

I myself have friends that never got the concept of programming which was a real issue of them, considering that this is the last year for them, that's why you should really know what modules you'll be studying before joining a specific studying field

You don't have to wait until you are about to get your bachelor of science before you begin thinking.you need to do the thinking before Even going for the course and know your purpose of doing it not because you see it as an option for you to be in school.

Studying computer science is cool and very demanding, however you should be aware that studying computer science requires understanding mathematics, knowledge of programming and data science

Well since the world is coming and it's becoming digitalize each day I think doing computer science is not a waste of time because as a computer science you have a great potential in the future when everything will be computerized, but before going to the area of computer up to the point of having and earning a bachelor's degree then you really need to have a good understanding of maths and programming I think these are the two things that will help you in your journey into the world of computer.

You should know that there are many ways of killing a cat. Some ways are better than others and don't necessarily believe the hype. Learn compact ways of storing data and how to manipulate it efficiently. Learn that dynamic allocation of memory is more costly than static allocation.
Learn that comments are as worthwhile as statements (including for yourself). Learn that speed is not so important when processing responses from people because humans are inherently slow devices. Concentrate on optimising the main loop or time consuming iterations within it. Make your code easily understandable.

I don't completely agree to studying computer science major . I honestly think it is better you learn and self develop, learn the ones you are interested in, there are different aspects of computer science you can learn independently and make money from without actually going through the rigours of studying the course.

Well am a computer science student myself. Through guys do find the programming aspect a little difficult
Programming is what I love the most one reason I ventured into computer science. It also depends on your interest añd lecture. If the lecture taking you the course can explain well enough, you would get it easily. And once you can get the basics, then you would be a guru in it

I think a student in Computer Science should already have a major in his mind like if he wants to be a tech that handles network or a computer technician or maybe a programmer. The lessons on the way to the major study are usually just basics to give the student a complete knowledge of the digital science - not only computers but also the internet. There are so many lessons to be learned that is why if you have no major in mind then you might get lost along the way.

Just keep one thing in your mind, that computer science degree is nothing without skills.
Try to learn practically and enhance your skills before becoming a graduate person, because if you have only degree with no skills then you are nothing.

The best advice I will give you is to go for more advanced class in this regard. Don't limit yourself to just one programming language because the world have gone beyond that. Programmers are now learning Python which is now the modern tools used in the industry.

When acquiring a degree in computer science you should always have it in mind that your abilities is what is more important than even the certificate, no one will want to employ an incompetent computer scientist, so you have to take your practical work very seriously.

For you to successfully study computer science in the university, you have to note that most of your courses will require the practical session of either a software or hardware program. You have to like and have strong interest in software languages and hardware repair and installations. Any course studied in class would often lead you to the lab where you will put what you learnt to practice.

Be reminded that you need to be focus and have an open mind to learn computer science. This entails your brains are put to reasoning, because you would be working with more of computer, softwares, hardware and programming language. This course is also profitable when you become a professional.

Many people don’t know their calling in life and what they should study. I think people fail because of the lack of knowledge of what they really want. To get bachelors degree in computer one has to focus and be committed.

I'm also having masters degree in CS, but without any Skills. Same case was With me that I couldn't get anything because of programming. I think this is because of universities which are forcing students to study those subjects in which they are not interested. They should give us choices and options to pick up in the subjects to choose them. Definitely none of us will be disappointed after getting Computer Science degree.

One of that best things you could ever do for yourself is to study computer science. The curent wave in computer science revolve around IT auditing and information security and professionals are making loads of money right now. The good thing with computer science is its dynamism, nothing lasts forever.
