What mistakes have you made and learned from?

In aspects of being a website owner I mean. Like what mistakes have you made while being the admin and how did you learn from them? They can be big mistakes or minor ones, anything in between really so long as you learned from it.

Be patient, very patient. It takes a while to get a strong momentum going.

Jumping the gun on "making it online" isn't real..I have learned that owning and running a site is harder than it appears and takes more time than I thought it would.

To always do updates. I put off a few wordpress updates and someone hacked into my blog and posting porn links in a lot of my posts and I almost lost google adsense over it!
