What kind of forum software do you prefer?

Why is that the case? Myself, I don't have a preference really. They all can be used equally, with some needing more modification skill, though. Well, not sure on that. It all depends on many factors.

I do not have any experience with premium forum software like vBulletin or Xenforo. However, I have tested and tried my hands on a lot of free forum software. Since I have not used premoum forum software, I do not know how free softare compares to the paid versions.

For each software, his proper interface and his proper tutorials but the interface did not differentiate a lot between one software and another software. For recommendation Xenforo is for experts you can start with myBB and phpBB then go to Vanilla and finally Xenforo.

Xenforo is my current fave. Although a license is expensive, it is wonderful, clean, well-engineered, and quite contemporary in comparison to most other solutions. It was built as a complete remake of vBulletin from the ground up by a core team

A lot of people talk about Xeneforo. Based on my study, it is probably the most loved forum software. One of the reasons why Xenforo is used is because of its comparatively lower subscription fees. However, I do not use Xenforo or any premium software. I believe open sources are good enough to run online communities.
