What is the main difference between domain endings for example what is the difference between the .com domain and .pw or .org? Is there any ranking system between these elements? If yes please tell me which is better and more popular for flash games and why?

There's no real difference other than the domain itself. I think internally google may have a ranking favor (tho we don't know)...

.COM is the most popular obviously, following by .net

Nowadays go for the domain that suits your business/personality the best

Well there are some reasonings behind a domain ending. .com is a traditional style of domain, but there is various others out there that you can use. There are some things to know, like you probably shouldn't use domains like .org (only if you're an organization), .gov (has to be a government site) and so on.

.io for example is growing in popularity as of late for tech startups and other tech sites. They also include many popular games and gaming services. But generally speaking, .com, .net, etc are fine.

So to in regards to @Mykel's questions, I don't believe there is a ranking system. But they differ in some ways of what they're used for. Flash games would probably work fine under .com/.net/ but also .io as a lot of games use the .io domain.

.IO is the ccTLD for British Indian Ocean Territory. Today, this ccTLD is utilized by a ton of tech new companies fro the basic explanation that it sounds new age and geek. There is a smidgen or history related with concerning why it is favored by tech organizations.

A .COM area implies the site is a business site and stands to bring in cash. It could likewise be utilized for brand presence however basically the .COM areas were delivered remembering this expectation.

In terms of SEO it does not matter what domain extension you are using. It can be anything dot com, or dot xyz, search engines treat equally. However, when domains were made they were categorized, for example dot com was for a commercial site, dot org for an organization, dot edu for educational instution etc.

The ending of each domain is called extension and the general extension used for domain name is .com. However other extension in the domain market include country code. For example Nigeria country code for domain extension is .ng and for England it is .UK this can help the domain to rank on search engine based on location

Domains have different categories, somw are geography based, dot uk for instance, some are niche based, for instance biz for business, etc. However you are free to use any extension except edu which are for educational website and gov for governments

I'm very sure that the poster is referring to the domain extension such as .com, .net, .co. Let only explain the meaning of .com and .net. A .com extension mean commercial, it is the domain extension for for any commercial activities while .net extension means network. It is the extension for a network services.

From what I know the extension of the domain name that identifies the domain name directory or provider does not make any difference at all. If ever the only difference is the annual renewal fee. The more popular domain name providers such as dot com and dot org have a higher renewal fee than the not popular provider such as dot xyz or dot co.

There isn't any difference from an SEO perspective from what I've managed to read about online. Obviously .com is the most popular because it's seen as the main, default ending. But there's loads more nowadays which are just as good and often times better because the ending describes what the site is all about. The two letter domains (ccTLDs; Country Code Top Level Domains) correspond to a country, however the other type (gTLDs; Generic Top Level Domains) correspond to longer ones like .com, .website, .cool for example. It's just a way of describing the website.

You can choose to use any of the domain endings you wish for your business. It mustn't be a .com or a .net or a .org ending. Anyone of such endings that suites you interest is what you should go for

The ending of every domain name is what is called the extension. The extension of a domain name determines the origin or the purpose the domain name is serving ie. .com means commercial, .net means network while we also country base and service based extension such as .ng, .us etc.

At Namecheap new extensions are developed there everyday. Don't be surprise seeing a new extension or ending like .co/eng costing more than .com extension which is the most popular.

each domain ending has a meaning and each one has its price depending on how professional it is, for example, com is more expensive than xyz

Seriously speaking I have no much idea about the two that's the difference between the two terms but I believe the difference is minimal but I seriously wish to have much understanding of knowledge about the two terms may be I can share with others.

Unrestricted Domain Extensions
An unrestricted domain extension means that anyone can purchase it. They’re available to the general public. These are the extensions that you see when you type a domain idea into a domain name registrar like GoDaddy.com.

Most people are familiar extensions like .com, .net, and .org, which were among the first extensions created. The ubiquitous .com is usually used for commercial enterprises, .net is supposed to be used for networks but is often used for commercial use, and .org is usually used by nonprofits (but like .net, anyone can use it).

But these aren’t the only unrestricted domains available.

Unrestricted Domain Extension Options
When you buy a domain name you will have many possible extensions to choose from. As mentioned above, unrestricted domains are available to the general public and anybody can purchase them for any purpose.

There are no major differences between domain extensions aside the fact that most people are only used to mostly the .com domain extension and they mostly remember these websites than other websites.

COM in the .com domain name represents commercial domain names. This includes all business websites, websites that want to make money online, personal websites, blogs, portfolios, and almost anything in between. On the other hand, the NET in the . net domain name extension represents “network”.I

In the beginning extensions had some purpose for example com for commerce, net for network or internet related, org for organization. But these days you can use any extension you want.

In terms of search engine perspective, there is no difference but in terms of price and popularity in the market, one domain extension greatly differs from another
