What is Joomla?

I've never heard about Joomla until recently. Apparently a lot of businesses and organizations use it for their websites. Some of those companies include: iHop, Harvard University, and many others. Evidently Joomla is extremely popular but I seriously haven't heard of it until now. They actually started in 2006 but this platform has been used by millions of people.

Do you use Joomla? How do you like it? How would you say it compares to WordPress?

I've never heard of Joomla. I've only heard of Wordpress. I would like to to know how it compares to WordPress as well. I'll search it on the internet but I would like to hear from someone that has actually used it.

The last time I had used Joomla, it was a bit more difficult to navigate and to use, in comparison to WordPress. Though I can see why businesses and people like using it. It is a good software for certain types of websites.

I wouldnt say it is more difficult to operate if you know what your doing, joomla has alot of intergrate parts and literally everything can be customized, plus more indepth modifications then WP

Joomla is way more difficult to handle than Wordpress. Personally, I prefer Wordpress over Joomla, as in Joomla's customization options are totally over-the-hook, but too hard to figure out. #wordpress

I've never used Joomla so far. What makes it more difficult to operate than Wordpress? Does it require more advance coding skills? Do its plugins require more work to implement than Wordpress' ones?
