What would happen if the internet is ever controlled by your government? Here in the US I do worry about the possibility of our social media being controlled. With the news of TikTok possibly being banned here in the states, it made me wonder about social media to begin with.

Governmental censorship of the internet, restrictions on free expression, a decline in innovation, and more government surveillance of citizens are just a few of the bad effects that could result from its control. Governments might also employ data collecting in a government-controlled internet to watch over and limit the activities of its citizens for political or other purposes.

It's just going to be like having the media censored. Well, it's going to something that's very crazy because there wouldn't be anything like privacy again.

They won't just control the internet but they will have to spy anything that goes on through the internet in terms of communication.

If the government is allowed, they are going to be interested in having control on anything that people are into because they want to control the currency, they want to control cryptocurrency as well, they also want to control our social life, they want to control the social media and they are also equally interested in controlling the internet which they will have everyone being their slaves.

Seriously, it's not going to be a nice sight or experience to live through. Making use of the internet is definitely going become very boring because a lot of people are definitely going to be discouraged from using it. Why would anyone be interested in using what they won't have their say unless it's what the government wants to hear or see.
