What do you think happened to Barcelona?

After Messi left the team they had bad results the next year but it has been more than 3 seasons when they play from him and they have created a new club that is making a new history although this history is not very positive now. Although they are in 3rd place, I would not say that they are favorites in the race for the Championship. I prefer Real Madrid more but it is very sad to see such a legendary team in this state. What do you think needs to be changed?
