What Do You Do With Spammers Accounts?

When a spammer join your community, what do you do? Do you lock their access to your community, do you delete their accounts, do you ban them, what else? I am asking this question because recently I had an influx of spammers signing up on my site. Previously, I used to delete the account and now I am thinking to block their access. without banning or deleting.

Well first I will warn them, and have them read the rules. If they continue I will give them another warning and let them know if they keep it up, it could result in a temp ban. If they continue after the first ban, then their banned for life.

Now if it's a known spammer or spammer who advertises, those accounts are immediately banned.
