I just try to keep myself active and posting around on my forum. I then advertise it on other forums.

You try to create discussion that ends with suspense or opinion demanding. Such that when members read they drop their opinion. Advertisement is another way to keep members busy also claiming of faucet

I think that the best thing that you can do in order to keep all of the members on the forum active is to increase the number o rewards that they can get and perhaps tiers for these rewards as well.

The first and the foremost is the content. If the site's content is boring or outdated members would lose interest. Should keep the blog, forums updated frequently to the current trend and to the latest news. Having a good reward system is an added advantage. Can also implement user badges to recognize and award high contributors and most active members.

Forums have to always have news that is up to date and that is why it is so important in order to ensure that people are able to post news articles on teh current events in the world in that topic.

You can engage your members only through discussion, therefore, you will have to create quality content. If there is no quality content, you need to hire someone to create a lot of topics, especially on the subjects that a lot of people can interact.

When it comes to what you would do to keep your forum members engaged and active on your forum, you must make sure to have good engaging contents added to the forum. There must be where members can discuss on the forum in order to be active. When the forum lacks contents or the one's in the forum have been exhausted, members will fade away.

If your forum doesn't give any incentives to those who are your members and posting actively, you need to give them some once in a while as a token of appreciation. Organise contest twice or thrice in a year and give cash prizes to the winners. The contest should be what will carry everyone along.
