What do you usually do when your site is down for an overextended period of time? Maybe you tried everything in your power to fix it, but it's with the host or something else. I have had days where one of my sites went down, but they usually were back up in a few hours to less than a day. Have you ever been kicked out of your site for days or even weeks?

If my website is down, I wouldn't let it go beyond 24 hours before I have it fixed and back online. If I tried everything within my power and it still doesn't work, I will make arrangements and hire a proper tech support expert to fix it and bring it online asap.

If my website wasn't hacked and I'm sure, I will try my possible best to have the downtime sorted but if it persist, it means I don't have the expertise in solving the problem. I will need an external assistance and I will get it fast especially if my website is hooked up with my business.

If my website is down for a long time and I cannot bring it back, I try to restore to its last version (right before it went offline). I have done this one, Thankfully, I did not lose anything on my site.

This is very nice problem solving tip which I haven't thought of. I'm having this noted well because I'm very sure it's going to be very helpful in one way or another tomorrow. You never can tell what's going to happen with some unfortunate cases on forums.

Currently I don't want or have a website but if I did I definitely will not want it to go down for at most 24-hours and at worst 36 hours because as you know a website is the first point of contact for any business person most especially when you're trying to establish a connection with a potential client.
