What do I need to succeed In a business?

I learnt this in our Organization and Management class. All you need to do to succeed in a business is to follow the GEMS. First, you will set a Goal-setting in goal-setting you will be synthesizing information, then formulating alternatives,then establishing goals, and deciding on courses of action. Second is the Executing the Plan. You will be executing the plan by organizing, communicating, and guiding. Third, is Measuring Results. Lastly, is the Sustaining Growth. This determines the success of the business.

Well, as a business owner that I am, I will first of all say what is needed to make a business's successful is to find a problem to solve. A business that only existed without solving any problems for its customers and clients will die off very soon when it's importance isn't felt again. Always look for a way to be helpful and useful, then you'll be patronized by all and sundry

Form a Team in order to succeed, you have to have a great team to back you up. This does not mean that you should gather a bunch of ‘yes men’. In the long run, it might even turn out that the fact that you were not challenged by your team was harmful to your business. Good employees are supposed to question some of your decision, and they should be more than welcome to express their opinions and/or ideas. Get a Mentor as important as it is to have a reliable and capable team, it is important to have a mentor as well. If you choose the right one, someone you admire and respect, listening to their advice can make your journey much more enjoyable.
