What sort of algorithm or equation would you use to value a website? What things should be included?

I think it would be really interesting to create an accurate website value checker.

No of Visits, SEO requirement meets, design, loading speed etc.

Jason and xpl0iter listed the main things that came into calculation when you wish to know the website's worth. However I doubt that an accurate calculator will ever be created, because each person values these things differently - I value domain age more than earnings per month for example.

I think I've figured out one thing that most of the current calculators miss- future earnings potential. In stocks/ shares you use a discounted cash flow analysis to get a valuation for it which is based on the future earnings of the company.

I wonder whether I could do this.

It would never be 100% but I think you could make a big improvement on the current options.
