This is a very good load time to have on your site. To be honest if there is anything that is taking long then i just leave the site and assume that it is a site issue.

If you are programming it yourself, than try to make you methods working in asynchronous way. In that way the will free internet server threads while performing their tasks.

I don't own a website for now. When i finally own one, i would take a test to find out how fast the webpage loads. If it doesn't load somewhere between two to five second, i would try to improve the speed.
