Though I don't know the name of the website right now, there is a website that allow you to know the date and time the first post was made on a particular website. This may give you clue on when the website was created.

This is a tool you can use to find out the age of a particular site by simply typing the URL in the text field then click check age.
I did a test run of the site and I got that result below.

It actually depend on why one wants to really know the age of a site, because most of these search could be very difficult to find eapecially when the site has change the host to another.

I don't think you will know about the website age by checking the web host, a better idea is to check the wayback machine that saves website pages in different time.

Well to be honest I have no idea about how to get or determine a website age but then it is something I will like to look into so I'll be able to learn on how to do that

It is possible to determine the age of your website. There is a website called small SEO tools which you can use to check the domain authority and it is going to tell you the age of your website by pasting the URL.

Whois data is probably the best and most reliable way to check how old a website is. I mean, if a different domain has been used for a website (for example they've changed from a .biz to a .net) then you probably need to look a bit further into it and maybe go onto the site and see if there's any news about it because a website in and of itself is fluid.

Domains are very static things, so Whois is a the best place to start for sure.

Is it not possible to use some online tools in order to be able to do this like trustpilot because that will tell you how long the website has been around in their trust index.

I think most website should put there date of existence on their website so that users will know how long it has been existing, also the last time information was updated on the site should be shown to users.

Well honestly I have not much more info, how to check the website are domain exactly how much older, I think well skilled web designer surely gives the proper info, iam also have the query to know this info, thats the reason I am reading others comment.

Domain Age Checker is an online tool that helps you to find the accurate age of a domain or website, from the time when it was registered till its active. Domain age is considered one of the very important factors in website ranking by search engines.

It's easy to know the age of domain than that of website. But whois can be used to check the domain then you can use that to estimate the website age. Or as suggested above way back machine is good in this aspect. It will show the history of the website.

Sure, checking the whois of a particular website can give you important information, but you'll need a sophisticated domain tool to get even more detailed information. One of his domain tools for looking up website age and other information is wayback.com.

Check the date the site was built at the bottom of the site backdrop to see when the first piece of content was created. You won't see anything like that through the domain name.

Although i suggested it might be possible, I don't believe there is a straightforward way to determine a website's age. If there were, though, I would like to know more about it and get more clarifications.

I don't think there is a way to find the age of any website. If one is so curious about the age of a website, one can always ask the owner of the website. I don't think they would have any problem in telling one.

The link you shared is a tool that detects duplicate content. You can submit your link or the text to see if the link or the text has any similar content. The OP is asking about a tool to detect website age.
