Web hosts who hurt your site?

Has anyone here ever dealt with a bad web host that tried to hurt your site? I bring this up, as one of my first sites I ever owned and ran, was hacked by a web host. He of course was fired by the web host company, but it was something that got me really bad. It took me a while to trust other hosts because of it.

Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I haven't used I stand alone website hosting service aside what place that I have been using for quite some time now end since when I've been using wordpress I haven't had any issues with them as their hosting service is top notch.

I do not have a website, however, if I ever have a website, I will not choose a host just because t offers low price or is very popular. I will choose a host according to my needs.
