General We make forums. We let forums die. Do we ever try to save forums for posterity?

For all the diverse topics that don't quite fit elsewhere.

I've been browsing the directory and reminiscing about old times. We create forums. We let forums die.

Do we ever try to save artifacts, memories, or screenshots of the forums that we build? We've collected and organized such great information, how do we preserve this information for later?

It could be something as simple as snapping screenshots once a year of important pages, memorializing our staff members periodically, saving our own offline database.

I've always kept a backup of the hosting account containing a forum on the day I shut it down. I can always restore it in place or merge it into a new forum if the topics overlap enough.
